Drilling, demolition, sawing and cutting services for Ardagh, Rugby

We worked as contractors for the prestigious Ardagh Group based in Rugby, Warwickshire. This involved challenging conditions within the vicinity of live tin-can production lines and company employees. Some of the services we undertook included:

  • The removal of large machine plinths
  • Stitch drilling floor openings for new machine foundations
  • Drainage runs
  • Diamond drilling for new machine retaining bolt holes

The concrete cutting and demolition work required the use of various cutting methods such as deep 3-phase floor sawing, wire sawing and stitch drilling. This was followed by remote-controlled Brokk demolition machines to break up the plinths and bases.

Other areas of floor within the factory required new levels, which was achieved by using floor grinders with dust suppression systems. Precision diamond core drilling was used to form the new machine anchor points.

This was a varied drilling contract in a unique environment. It required careful planning and precision work. The team did a great job for the client and we gained another happy customer.
